| | Central Lodge is located in St Moritz, in the
Engadin Valley in South Eastern Switzerland, at
the crossroads of the Alpine Rail system. Central
Lodge is open in summer only.
Opening dates Summer 2006: June 21st - September

The major rail routes of the Alps either start or
end in St.Moritz - the Engadine Express from Chur
(connecting to Zurich), the Bernina Express over
the highest rail crossing in the Alps from Tirano
on the Italian border, the Palm Express (via
Lugano) and the Glacier Express, from Zermatt, and
the new Engadin Star though the Vereina Tunnel
from Lanquart.
By road, St Moritz is about 3 hrs drive from
Zurich, and from Milan, and about 4 hrs from
Munich.
By rail, St Moritz is about 4 hrs travel time from
Zurich, 5 ¾ hrs from Milan Centrale, and the best
part of a day, from Geneva.
