NASDAQ OMX Riga and Latvian Central Depository are the leading securities market infrastructure operators in Latvia. Through these two enterprises, market participants are provided with an environment for carrying out transactions with securities, clearing and settlement of securities transactions, listing of securities, operating of central public securities register and funded pension fund register.

The Baltic stock exchanges have a common presentation of all listed Baltic companies on a common list, the companies in which are grouped in the lists bellow. In legal terms, the companies are still listed on home market, i.e. the exchange in Tallinn, Riga or Vilnius and supervised by the local financial supervisory authority.

The NASDAQ OMX stock exchanges in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius form the Baltic Market, the core idea of which is to minimize to the extent possible the differences between the three Baltic markets in order to facilitate cross-border trading and attract more investments to the region. This includes sharing the same trading system and harmonizing rules and market practices, all with the aim of reducing the costs of cross-border trading in the Baltic region.

The major owner with 92.98% shares in NASDAQ OMX Riga and Latvian Central Depository is "NASDAQ OMX Nordic Ltd.", which is owned by “NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.”. Other shareholders of the NASDAQ OMX Riga are AS “Rietumu Banka” with 3.51% of shares and AS “RB Securities” IBS with 3.51%. The NASDAQ OMX Riga holds 100 % shares in Latvian Central Depository.
