CIMERA is a Geneva-based, private, non-profit organization. We are active in the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Balkans and in Switzerland. CIMERA combines governance projects and research. We focus on media development and raising the professional qualifications of journalists. Furthermore, we initiate cross-border cooperation between journalists, politicians and experts to enhance debates on regional concerns. CIMERA considers that media development depends on the political culture, an active civil society and on a basic knowledge of the socio-political realities of the concerned societies. Therefore, we complete our engagement in the media sector with projects in the fields of language politics, civic participation and research.
