Welcome to the Thomson Elite Web site. As the new president and CEO, please permit me to introduce myself and my background. While I am new to this role, I am no stranger to this industry. Over the last 20 years, I served in a broad range of executive roles for Thomson West and Thomson Legal & Regulatory. I was senior vice president of Business Information, News and Public Records, and president and CEO of Business Intelligence Services. In 2004, I served as senior vice president of Operations for Thomson West. From 2000 to 2003, I was senior vice president and chief technology officer for Thomson Legal & Regulatory. Prior to that, I served as vice president of West Technical Services and managed several software development groups for Thomson West. I have extensive knowledge of the legal marketplace, along with a dedication to customer service. For the past 11 years, Thomson Elite has benefited from Chris Poole’s innovative leadership. Although he has chosen to step away from his position as Thomson Elite president and CEO, Chris remains a key part of our organization in his new advisory role as chairman. This provides a smooth transition for our business and ensures that we will continue to focus on meeting the needs of our customers. Our commitment to helping clients succeed in the global professional services market has earned Thomson Elite its leading position in the legal software industry. Over 60% of Am Law 100 and Global 100 law firms and nearly 30% of the top CPA firms rely on Elite financial and practice management systems to optimize their business processes. We recently launched Elite 3E, the next generation of our flagship Elite® suite of business optimization software. Since the launch, 3E has become the choice of firms on three continents. ProLaw is the preferred choice of corporate legal departments, government law offices and small and mid-sized law firms. Hubbard One, a Thomson Elite business, delivers marketing, Web site and business development solutions to 40% of top-tier law firms. We work hard to create software that is easy to use, costs less to deploy and keeps pace with new and evolving technologies. Significant investment in research and development continues to yield positive results for our clients. We continue to invest in and upgrade Elite Enterprise, while Elite 3E offers a business optimization platform with powerful financial and practice management features and built-in application development capabilities. New features for ProLaw will include customization for corporate and government markets along with Microsoft .NET integration.
